Moonwalk Warm-up 2024

This is the third year running I’ve lead the warm-up for Edinburgh’s Moonwalk. The Moonwalk is where hundreds of walkers walk a marathon in the middle of the night wearing bras, to raise money for cancer research. Every year there’s a different theme, this year, we had a Fiesta. Let’s Salsa baby!

I had a ten minute slot, and started nice and slow with Lionel Ritchie’s ‘All Night Long’ to get folk moving and stretching. The second song was the fast and furious ‘Samba Do Brasil’ where we did lots of fast salsa moves and waving hands in the air. We even did the kangaroo (thanks for the inspo Raygun).

Tracy leading the pre-event limbering up. Wide, wide feet to warm up hips and knees!

One of the most fun things about being a fitness instructor is the many events I get invited to. I do lots for charity, and am also available to book for Corporate workouts and motivational speaking. One of my favourite things is putting together simple choreography for large groups - for the modern day office, I also offer Zoom Energiser sessions from your desk chair.

In the past I've warmed up crowds for the Great Scottish Walk (Glasgow and Edinburgh), the Shelter Scotland Urban Rush, at wellbeing conferences, and in workplaces.
